HR Core is designed to assist UK subsidiaries of overseas businesses who have limited access to UK HR support and wish to fix the cost of purchasing professional HR support, year on year.
For an agreed annual fee you get easy access to a dedicated team of our in-house HR professionals, supported by our employment solicitors - substantially reducing the significant costs of recruiting in-house UK HR specialists.
Our specialist team is on hand to help create a stable, productive and well managed workforce, to protect your reputation, to develop and inform your management team and to minimise your exposure to disruptive and expensive litigation.

How it works
For an annual fixed fee, HR Core for international clients will provide you with:
An initial familiarisation visit so we can start to understand your business and get to know key members of your management team - allowing us to provide tailored support from the very beginning.
Unlimited access to telephone advice and email support - for your key named personnel, and advice from a named HR professional who will be supported by an employment lawyer where appropriate, in relation to day-to-day HR and employment law issues such as:
- performance management
- absence/sickness absence
- queries in relation to terms and conditions e.g. holiday pay, sickness entitlements
- maternity, paternity, flexible working
- restructures and redundancy
- contractual issues.
One half day onsite visit per year tailored to your needs – typically used for catch up meetings or training. Additional visits can be purchased if required.
Support with negotiating and drafting up to two Settlement Agreements each 12 months.
Online access to blogs and legal opinions which help keep management up to date on changes in UK employment law and best practice.
Online training and webinars – listen to our experts providing training which can be accessed as and when time permits.
Access to exclusive discounts from our business partners who offer various services including accountants, occupational health services, private detectives, psychometric testing on job applicants and employees, recruitment consultants and surveyors.
Access to litigation cases as employment tribunal decisions are placed online.
HR Options supplements our HR Core package and gives you the flexibility to deal with specific business needs when they arise, all for a fixed fee.
HR Options are priced on your particular business needs at a fixed fee so you have cost certainty and you get exactly what you want. Whatever services we supply, we can guarantee that our fees will be transparent; there will be no charge for travel to and from your premises and no hidden extras.
HR Options will provide you with:
Fixed fee pricing for policies and procedures – from employment contracts through to the policies and procedures for an employee handbook – our fixed price menu offers bespoke policies. An annual review to make sure you remain compliant with changes in legislation and best practice is included.
Developing your management team – we offer a range of modules to help develop your local management team – these are delivered in half day blocks and can be purchased as a complete package or as individual training modules.
The modules include:
- equality and diversity
- appraisal skills and objective setting
- absence management
- dealing with disciplinary and grievance issues
- managing poor performance
- managing investigations and dealing with sensitive workplace issues.
Immigration and the right to work in the UK – our fixed price products can help you protect your business by assisting with a right to work audit to ensure that you are compliant with the law and to obtain a sponsorship licence.
One stop licence to sponsor and visa applications – providing you with the support you need to maximise your chances of obtaining a licence to sponsor and the visa that will enable the intended recruit to come to the UK and commence work for you.
Immigration due diligence – ensuring your systems and processes are ready for inspection by the UK immigration authorities.
Protecting your business from fraud - our employment and intelligence teams offer a unique solution for employers, allowing you to conduct pre-employment vetting and due diligence and employee checks in a variety of circumstances to mitigate the potential risks to your organisation.
HR consultancy - a pay as you go service for one-off projects or developments that you may require assistance with. If you need support on more complex matters or if you want additional onsite assistance during busy periods, this can be provided on a consultancy basis.
This may include:
- complex absence, capability, grievance or disciplinary issues (from investigations to advice for convening hearings and outcomes)
- remuneration and benefits - e.g. review of compensation and benefits and salary benchmarking
- support with restructures, job evaluations, TUPE transfers and changing terms and conditions, from advice on process to hands-on support in developing structures and implementing the change
- recruitment, job descriptions, person specifications, psychometric testing, attendance at interviews
- policy reviews / drafting or alternatively you can purchase our model policies if you do not have our core service
- review of your current working HR practices providing you with a report that will highlight areas of risk, recommendations for improvement and an action plan
- assistance with mediation
- HR consultancy can be purchased in blocks of hours at any time.
Employment Tribunal fixed fee service – our Employment Tribunal case management system is designed entirely from client feedback. We offer fixed, staged prices for each stage of the Tribunal process to give you cost certainty, complemented by a traffic light risk analysis of your case. We will also provide you with an ongoing risk assessment and learning points on conclusion to help you identify any weaknesses or trends in your organisation to help you reduce the risk of further claims. We offer robust, fully qualified and experienced advocates who will be there to help you from the first call through to the final hearing.
Our in-house HR professionals can attend disciplinary or grievance meetings as your note taker and to provide support. Arrangements may be made to hold internal meetings at our offices and we can arrange for outcome letters to be delivered to your employees.
